Xavier Francois is a current high school intern with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. He currently takes college-level classes at Prince George’s Community College and the SANS Institute. Xavier has participated in research regarding Cybersecurity, Electronics, Machine Learning, and Binary Exploitation. Before he started his internship at UMD, he was an intern at the United States Naval Academy’s Cyber Science Department. He aspires to gain an undergraduate degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering. Xavier is a two-time finalist in the National Cyber Scholarship Program (2022 and 2023) and is the founder of Cyber X, a high school cybersecurity team.
