Xiaolong Liu is a Postdoctoral Associate of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. His research interests include surgical robotics, medical devices, and design and optimization. Before joining UMD, he worked as an R&D engineer at Aubo Robotics, Inc. for developing medical devices for minimally invasive surgery. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and received his M.S. and B.S at Northeastern University, China.
